Compensation for Death At Work – Derbyshire
Fatal Accident At Work – South Derbyshire
Compensation for death at work; with regret we report another fatal accident at work where an employee has been crushed to death by a bucket at a waste management company. The fatal accident at work tragically sustained fatal injuries to his head and spine in 2013.
The details of the tragedy is reported in the Burton Mail, where it is said that the Derby Crown Court witnessed many instances of unsafe working practices on Camera exposing employees to injury and danger.
The Employers of the worker who was fatally injured pleaded guilty to Health and Safety breaches and fined.
HSE Principal Inspector Elizabeth Hornsby said: “Rainbow Waste failed to put in place basic legal requirements of training and supervision. The death of this young man was entirely avoidable.”
