Fatal Cyclist Accident – Death in London 6th In 2015
Yet again London road are death traps for cyclists. In yet another fatal cycle accident in London, a cyclist crashed with a lorry. There would only be one outcome.
The female cyclist was riding through Camberwell South London during rush hour when her bike collided with a HGV.
An air ambulance was on the scene in minutes but this could not save her life. She was still alive whilst in hospital in a critical condition but died shortly afterwards. The lorry driver was not arrested. Witnesses have informed the police that the junction is “absolutely terrifying” where the location of the fatal cycle accident happened it was claimed.
It is noted that all 6 fatal cycle accidents in London had involved lorries. Earlier in the year a French born mother of two died on a “boris bike” in London and another female cyclist was killed involving a car and a tanker. She was in her 50’s.
Witnesses should report the fatal cycle accident to the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.
