Cyclist Involved in Fatal Crash with Lorry

A 62-year-old was killed by a lorry driver who allegedly had a coughing fit before running over the cyclist.

It is believed that the lorry driver did not check his mirror before accelerating out of his lane and crossing over into the wrong lane.

The lorry crushed the deceased cyclist, killing him instantly and dragging him metres along the road. The lorry driver was convicted, death caused by dangerous driving.
