34 year old Kevin Alderton was killed when he squeezed himself in the driving wheel of a fertiliser to fix a screw. A fatal accident police report stated that he had forgot to turn the engine off before he had started the procedure. He knocked the steering sensor out of position which made the wheel realign crushing Alderton against the machine. The screw had already been seen to but still not been fix so Alderton decided to try and do it by himself. He was discovered by lorry drivers who raise an alarm. Employs who work for the company said the maintenance training was “self -taught” and experts who come in would show them what to do. Cannabis was found in Alderton system though he was described as normal that morning.
