Worker died – work place accident
One worker died due to accident at work.
It is believed the deceased and other colleagues was carrying out regular maintenance work on the sewer system at the time of the accident.
The employee’s plus the deceased was working up to 6m below ground when they was faced with difficulty.
The deceased fell into the sewer pit, which then another colleague tried to assist and he too got into some difficulty.
It is believed the two men were rescued from the pit, treated on scene and transported to hospital but unfortunately, one remains in critical condition and the other worker died.
