The 59-year-old died when he fell from a flat-bed skip lorry at his place of work.
It is still unknown exactly how the deceased died, but it was believed at the time of the accident the deceased was set work to do by the manager to collect scrap machinery from the yard when he fell from his lorry.
Colleagues found the deceased lying next to the vehicle bleeding from his head and unconscious.
After the accident, the deceased was transported to a specialist trauma hospital by air ambulance and kept under sedation in an intensive care unit where he remained for two weeks post-accident.
The worker died three weeks post-accident due to attempting to climb out of his bed and collapsed and died a couple of hours later.
A coroner’s inquest took place due to this fatal accident and was found he died due to a blood clot in the pulmonary artery, the blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the lungs.
