Fatal accident caused by using mobile phones
A driver caused the death of a 27 year old male in a fatal car accident when she was using two mobile phones when she was driving.
The fatal accident occurred around 4:30pm on the A47 near Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
The mother of one was driving a green Jaguar X-Type when she collided into the back of a Peugeot 206. The 27 year old opposing driver passed away at the scene.
When questioned by police at the scene she told officers that she was not using a mobile phone.
When investigations where carried out it found that she had received text and calls on two mobile phones when driving.
The female driver was sentenced to six years in jail and disqualified from driving for eight years.
