Fatal Accident Information

According to the Health and Safety Executive the following data refers to work related fatal accidents:

Two-thirds of fatal accidents at work involved a fall from height, being struck by a moving object, being trapped or struck by a vehicle. Further fatal accident information was broken down where deaths were caused by electricity, drowning, fire, explosions.

Virtually a third of all injuries at work relate to slips, trips and falls with handling injuries being the most commonly reported.

Regardless of whether the injury sustained is a fatal or not, nevertheless any employer owes a duty of care to all employees and visitors to premises that they are not harmed. Any failure in that duty will result in a possible claim for a fatal accident at work claim solicitors.
