Death Due to Ice on Road
The deceased, 40, died as he travelled along a long stretch of road when he lost control of his Nissan Micra before colliding with an oncoming lorry.
It is believed the conditions on the road were icy which resulted in drivers having to reduce speed on the road due to conditions on the road.
A witness advised that the deceased was travelling in his vehicle when he turned a bend at the top of a hill when it started to skid. The deceased tried to save the vehicle by swopping lanes when he ended up in the opposite dual carriageway.
At the time of the fatal car accidents there was a truck coming up, he tried to avoid the Micra but unfortunately was not able to.
The driver of the truck and the witness got out of their vehicles, went over to the deceased’s vehicle and tried to help but they advise there was no signs of life and no response from him.
His cause of death is to of believed to have been multiple traumatic injuries due to a road traffic collision and died at the scene of the fatal car accident.
