Fatal “free diving” accident

“Free diving” does not sound very life threating though it is unbelievably dangerous and can be as dangerous as any sky event.

“Free diving” means that no scuba gear or oxygen tanks are used. A French free-diver was attempting to break the world recorded that was made by her husband for the deepest free dive of 171 meters which would be 561ft. She had a 200 pound weight on a steel cable attached to her to get to her target.

When she was on her way back to resurface she lost consciousness at 300 ft, her team tried to get her out the water but suffered complications with their equipment.

When she was pulled out the water she, could not be revived and was pronounced dead that the scene.
