Lorry accident killed one
A man thought to be in his 70’s died in a car crash involving a lorry. The deceased was driving a Fiat car when he collided with a sugar beet lorry.
Firefighters cut the male out of the car but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry diver was uninjured. Ambulance crews also attended the scene. The road was closed so investigations could be carried out.
An appeal has been made for witnesses.
