Male died due to fire on canal boat

Fatal accident compensation claim solicitors.

A 40 year old male has died due to a fatal accident.The fatal accident occurred due to a fire on a canal boat which is believed to have started by a wood- burning stove.

The male was found by a dog walker.

The canal boat is thought to have been ‘well alight’ as the windows were too hot to touch when emergency services arrived around 7:20am.

There were no other occupants on the boat although the man’s dog was also found dead.

The male was pulled from the boat on to land; he was confirmed dead at the scene.

Investigations are now under way. The investigations are focusing on the wood- burning stove.

An appeal has been made for witnesses.
