‘Reasonably low’ Claim Awarded to Widow and Her Daughter

A man aged 63 died as a result of mesothelioma due to constant exposure to asbestos at his work place. The widow and daughter of the deceased claimed fatal accident damages.The jury provided evidence that the judicial awards had been on the low side. The amounts awarded to the widow and daughter of the deceased were unreasonably low at £10,000 to the daughter and £28,000 to the widow in respect of dependancy awards.
