A post-mortem that was carried out on the driver of the car that departed from the bridge that fatally killed all band members of the band and the manager has ended the speculation that the driver had been intoxicated by alcohol or drugs.

The results found “no trace” of drugs at all in his blood.

Results from a preliminary post-mortem into the deaths ha ve been released by police after the crash on 13 February.

The four-piece Warrington-based band of Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin were killed alongside their manager Craig Tarry when their hire car plunged 25 metres off the bridge into a canal.

Stockholm Police spokeswoman Carena Skagerlind said: “We can confirm that the very preliminary post-mortem results show that the driver of the car had no trace of alcohol or drugs in the blood.
