A fatal car accident involving a stolen car in West Chester killed a 14-year-old girl when she was riding with her boyfriend.
A young male of 16 was driving a 1994 Toyota Camry which was stolen from a parking lot of apartment building.
The owner of the Toyota did not know the car was taken. It is uncertain whether the two teenagers stole the car themselves or it was stolen before the fatal road accident. The male was driving without a license; he was also speeding in a 25mph zone up to 50mph. The car went into a four-wheel drift, losing control, the passenger side of the car slammed into a tree. The collision caused him the driver to sustain a broken wrist, back injuries and internal injuries.
When the emergency services arrived it took around two hours to free the girl from the wreckage, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be factors in the crash and the driver is cooperating with the investigation. He may face charges for the fatal road accident.
