A member of the police force had an accident when his motorbike collided with a SUV. The 83 year old was driving when a when the SUV crossed the double yellow lines to avoid hitting a pedestrian, hitting the motorbike head first. Even though safety equipment was worn he still suffered fatal injuries causing him to die at the scene of the accident.
